A new transition support for companies in Sweden has been proposed by the government and the partnering parties. The proposal includes companies with annual sales of at least SEK 250,000 and can provide a maximum of SEK 150 million in support. The Swedish Tax Agency is proposed to administer the support.
In order to benefit from the aid, the company must have had a turnover of at least SEK 250,000 during the last financial year and a loss of turnover of at least 30 percent. The turnover loss is calculated on March and April 2020 compared to the same months last year. The maximum support that can be given is SEK 150 million per company.
According to the proposal, the support should be granted to companies and organizations that have F-tax. It must be paid through the Swedish Tax Agency. The Government proposes to enter into force on 1 July 2020.
The proposal will be presented in an extra amending budget from the Government and will be considered by Parliament.
The Swedish Tax Agency is now preparing for processing and control of the new support, but it is not yet possible to apply for the proposed support.
